Marie is one of our original muses, she embodies all the qualities of someone who wants to live with integrity. Beauty and wisdom inside deserves to manifest itself through an outer reflection of vitality and health!
Marie has been a proponent of maintenance BBL, Botox and tasteful filler injections, and other therapies became useful as she entered her 50's, such as Morpheus8, and Sofwave.
Her amazing journey of "positive ageing" is in fact a reverse engineering of the markers of ageing such as skin deterioration, rosacea, volume loss, wrinkles and folds. IT WAS IMPERATIVE THAT MARIE DID NOT WANT TO LOOK CHANGED OR UN-NATURAL, SHE SIMPLY WANTED TO LOOK THE WAY SHE FEELS....VIBRANT. We usually say that when someone looks more like the 8-10 year younger version of THEMSELVES this makes you feel pretty good about what you are reflecting outwardly. Our minds and spirits always tend to carry a more youthful vibe than our chronologic age.

From the before photo in Dec 2023 to now, Marie has had a maintenance BBL treatment, Botox and Filler (L-Lift is an incredible way to make the midface SO pretty and youthful, but not fake looking), and her 2nd Sofwave treatment was in March 2024. This gorgeous transformation is the result of applying the right therapies to make her feel "less tired looking".
Moxi Rewards time at SKin Phi!
We have gained so much experience with the MOXI laser since our opening, and continue to be impressed by the results this treatment produces. We were the first to introduce this very special laser to Ottawa in 2022, and are honored to be designated the Sciton Moxi Ambassador for this part of the country.
In addition to treating unwanted pigmentation, age spots, minimize pore appearance and treat pigment associated with melasma, in 2023 Moxi laser got FDA clearance for treatment of actinic keratoses. These precancerous lesions occur typically in areas of sun exposed skin and some AK's can grow to become squamous cell carcinoma. Traditional dermatology offers options such a liquid nitrogen to treat individual lesions, chemotherapy creams used at home, or combination drug-light based treatments called photodynamic therapy. Not only does the Moxi help you achieve even, glowing, smooth skin, it is effective at prevention of skin malignancies by reducing actinic keratoses.
WHAT IS MOXI?
Moxi is a non-ablative 1927nm laser that can be used at low or high density to give a magnificent "peel" to the superficial layers of skin.
You are red for about 1 day, and can wear sunscreen and makeup immediately so going to work the next day is doable. Wearing a tinted mineral sunscreen or light foundation camouflages the pinpoint "toasted" pixels, and you simply look darker or bronzed underneath your makeup for several days. Most patients peel the "sandpapery" bits between 5-7 days, revealing the most magnificent glowing skin, described by some as "it looks like a filter". The greatest feeling is being able to get up and just put on some sunscreen and look great!
Moxi can be repeated 1 month later if you want further clarification of pigment, or a few months later if it is for melasma maintenance.
WHY MOXI?
Moxi can be done on ALL skin types, ALL seasons of the year (although we always prefer patients to comply with UV avoidance and tanning of the face), and has incredibly easy downtime. Moxi produces such dramatic change within 1-2 treatments for sun damage and brown spots. 3-4 session may be needed for clearing precancerous lesions (Actinic Keratoses). For maintenance of melasma, doing Moxi treatment once a season or when you notice the superficial melasma getting more visible is a great plan. Of course, every treatment plan is tailored for you, so there is no one way to prescribe the program. We always want the simplest and most affordable way for you to achieve your skin goals.
